2001
Ewald Rieder began his career selling health-related products.
2003
Ewald Rieder discovers the water ionizer and recognizes its potential in the field of water optimization. He establishes contacts with renowned experts from the industry, including Russian inventor Vithold Bakhir.
2006
Ewald Rieder learns about an advanced and innovative water ionizer from South Korea. A device that has been purchased more than 25,000 times in the USA within six months. He founds the company SANUSLIFE. He also secures the exclusive rights to the Korean water ionizer in Italy.
2009
Ewald Rieder founded SANUSLIFE GmbH together with his sister Verena, her husband Günther Frei, and his long-time friend Florian Kerschbaumer, and has been managing director of the company ever since.
In the same year, he entered into a partnership with scientist, inventor, and bestselling author Sang Whang. Whang recognized that many water ionizers on the market have a key weakness: filtration technology.
Together with experts in water treatment, the development of a high-performance electric water ionizer was then initiated – with a focus on high-quality and efficient filtration as the basis for optimal water quality.
2010
The water ionizer AlkaBest, developed by Sang Whang and SANUSLIFE, is launched on the market. The results are convincing: while harmful substances such as lead and arsenic are reduced, alkaline minerals such as calcium and magnesium remain in the water.
A modern manufacturing company in South Korea produces the water ionizer exclusively for SANUSLIFE. Together with filter experts in the field of water treatment, SANUSLIFE creates a unique selling point and paves the way for worldwide distribution.
2011
SANUSLIFE expands its product range by adding a mineral water ionizer in the form of a countertop filter (carafe). The company also launches its first product in the field of dietary supplements.
2013
The company SANUSLIFE in Italy is officially converted into SANUSLIFE International GmbH.
2014
After several years of research and development, SANUSLIFE launches its own electric flow-through water ionizer: the ECAIA ionizer. The device is once again produced exclusively for SANUSLIFE.
An Italian laboratory certified by Accredia.it tests and confirms the safety of all components used in the device.
In addition, extensive tests demonstrate the high filtration performance of Filter 1 and Filter 2.
2015
SANUSLIFE receives H.A.C.C.P. certification for ECAIA ionizer. In addition, the product portfolio is expanded to include the ESORI dietary supplement line and the ANACOS alkaline natural cosmetics line.
2016
SANUSLIFE celebrates its 10th anniversary and uses this occasion to realign the company. A new website, new products, a new online shop, and an innovative reward points system are created.
The shop is designed so that with every purchase, 1% of the net margin automatically flows into a pool for social projects.
Another milestone is an international compensation plan with over 10 earning bonuses, as well as weekly, monthly, and annual payouts.
In addition, SANUSLIFE enables other companies to make their quality products accessible to its own network, with a clear focus on health products.
2017
The established ecosystem proved to be extremely exciting and forward-looking. At the same time, a strong expansion of sales activities is starting in the German market. The introduction of the new system is leading to significant revenue growth.
2018
SANUSLIFE continues its impressive growth trajectory and doubles its revenue. At the same time, new customers and sales partners are being acquired in Austria and Switzerland – an important step on the path to international expansion.
2019
SANUSLIFE introduces two new dietary supplements: ESORI Minerals and ESORI Vitamins. Both products contain ingredients obtained using the Cultavit® process, in which vitamins, minerals, and trace elements are concentrated in their natural matrix.
In addition to the ESORI line, the ECAIA+ line is also expanded with the hygiene product ECAIA+ allhygienics. Sales continue to increase by more than 60%.
2020
SANUSLIFE introduces the virtual card service SANUSMAP 1.0, which allows users to find drinking water refill stations and sales points for MY WATER BOTTLE.
At the same time, the company is entering the Colombian market in collaboration with a trading partner, enabling the ECAIA carafe to be delivered directly to end customers locally.
The ECAIA ionizer S is being relaunched in a revised version, while the ANACOS natural cosmetics line is being expanded with additional products.
2021
SANUSLIFE celebrates its 15th anniversary and uses this occasion to introduce a new lifestyle and shopping app with an integrated online card service.
In addition, the ECAIA ionizer faucet is presented – a compact 2-way faucet in which the ECAIA ionizer is installed directly under the countertop. Both alkaline and acidic ECAIA water flow directly from the tap.
In the same year, the SANUSPLANET Foundation is established under the leadership of animal and environmental activist Magdalena Gschnitzer. 2022
SANUSLIFE is launching the new ECAIA carafe S as a complement to the ECAIA carafe. A new filtration system, combined with a handcrafted glass carafe and new accessories, rounds out the product range.
2023
SANUSLIFE is launching the new SANUSAPP 3.0 – a milestone in the company’s development. The app represents the central element of the entire future SANUSLIFE ecosystem.
2024
SANUSLIFE Administration AG in Switzerland is introducing the new Marketplace and the new payment system SANUSPAY. The products will be available for order in the new Marketplace from the end of November. In addition, numerous other partner companies with high-quality products will be added.
From this point onward, SANUSAPP 3.0 will form the central element of the entire SANUSLIFE ecosystem, connecting the Marketplace, Community, and many other areas within a modern platform.
2025
SANUSLIFE is organizing a major event in March 2025 with around 1,000 participants at the Bolzano Exhibition Center. The focus is on the new Marketplace and SANUSPAY, with over 40 partner companies mainly presenting health products. A highlight of the event is Joey Kelly’s stage appearance with an impressive performance.
